Swamiye Sharanam Ayyappa!
The Sabarimala Sree Ayyappa Temple, one of India's most ancient and revered Sastha temples, is nestled within the Western Ghats in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district. Unique among Hindu temples, Sabarimala Sri Dharmasastha Temple welcomes devotees from all faiths. Despite its remote location in southern India, surrounded by mountains and dense forests, the temple attracts an impressive three to four million pilgrims annually. Sabarimala is widely believed to be the sacred site where Lord Ayyappan meditated, making it the most renowned pilgrimage destination in Kerala. According to legend, the idol of Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala was installed by "Parasurama Maharshi," the sage who reclaimed Kerala from the sea.
